Basic retainer wall construction consists of a road crush base of 10-12" and a 1-2" sand base. Landscape fabric is installed behind the wall. Weeping tile is installed to insure proper drainage, washed rock is placed behind the landscape fabric, and compacted road crush is added behind the washed rock. All steps are necessary for a strong and long lasting wall. |
